Welcome to the City/County Planning Department, serving the City of Glendive, Town of Richey, community of Lindsay, and the County of Dawson. The Planning Department oversees subdivision development, floodplain management, long range planning, and zoning within these communities.
The City/County Planner provides information regarding land use regulations and land use review processes; provides application materials; reviews subdivision, floodplain development, zoning applications, and certificates of survey; and makes recommendations on development proposals to the City/County Planning Board, City Council and County Commissioners.
The City/County Planner oversees long-range planning efforts and coordinates these efforts with other City and County departments, as well as with other local, regional, state, and federal entities.
