Communications Tower -  Bid Package

Invitation to Bid
Dawson County Disaster and Emergency Services is seeking bids for the construction of a 180’ communications tower in the City of Glendive Montana. Sealed bids will be received by the Dawson County Commissioners at 207 W Bell, Glendive, MT  59330. The bid opening will be at Dawson County Board of Commissioners regular session in the Dawson County Courthouse Community room meeting at 5:30 pm on March 19th, 2019.

The invitation to bid, the soil samples and a project summary can be obtained at www.dawsoncountymontana.org under the commissioners tab at the top/center of the webpage and click on “Bid Postings”, or by stopping at the Dawson County Clerk and Recorders office located at the Dawson County Courthouse, 207 W Bell, Glendive,  MT.

All laborers employed by the contractor and sub-contractors in performance of the construction work shall be subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing rates to satisfy federal funding. The contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or nationality.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond payable to Dawson County in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful bidders shall furnish an approved performance bond and a labor and materials bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful bidder and a certificate of that insurance shall be provided.

No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids which is at 5:30 pm local time on March 19, 2019.

The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of Dawson County.
